Once Bro was standing outside school when Dave was little, dropping him off, and one of the other kids mothers started talking to him. When she asked if he’d ever spanked Dave, Bro just gave her a disgusted look and said ‘Hell no, I just get one of my swords and fight with the lil’ shit’ and no parents ever spoke to him after that.

Bro had a pet boa constrictor for years. Her name was Georgie. He let Dave play with her all the time when he was little. Looking back, Bro realizes that letting a baby play with a 9 foot long snake was probably not one of his wiser decisions.

One night Bro stayed out a lot later than usual so Dave stayed up, worried as fuck but trying not to show it. When Bro got back home though he was about to tell Dave he should go the fuck to bed when he just threw himself at him mumbling ‘i missed you’ and making Bro feel like an asshole so they had chinese food and fell asleep together.

One time Dave skipped school and just wandered around instead but Bro was driving past in his truck and found him. He didn’t say anything, just made him get in the truck and went home. Once they got back to the apartment Bro made Dave stand in the corner like a little kid for two hours.

Dave hated brushing his teeth as a child. Bro would have to grab him, throw him over his shoulder and carry him into the bathroom, then stay in there with him blocking the door. Dave would grab his leg and hug him and beg him to let him off but Bro just shook his head and said ‘Not gonna’ work, kiddo’ so Dave would throw a fit and hit him and collapse on the floor and scream until Bro picked him up, grabbed his tooth brush and started brushing his teeth himself. Dave would run out afterwards.

When Dave was little and Bro went to work, he’d go into his brothers room despite strict warnings not to and he’d curl on Bro’s bed and just cry. Whenever Bro got back he tried to be angry but they both always ended up snuggling on his bed.

Bro had a night-terror once. Dave woke up to Bro shaking him by the shoulder hissing, “Dave, wake up, we have to get out of here.” Bro had a sword and was completely terrified, shaking like a leaf. Dave sat up slowly, and started talking to Bro in a low, calm voice. At first Bro freaked out more and grabbed Dave, but Dave just put his hand over his brother’s and kept talking. Bro eventually sat down on Dave’s bed. Dave talked and talked and finally Bro put his sword down and curled up on Dave’s bed and fell back asleep. Neither of them talked about it the next morning.

Dave has dimples when he smiles. When he was younger Bro would tease him about it, which is definitely a factor in the fact that Dave doesn’t smile often.
